LONG PATH - 3+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
In this workshop we will explore how space can affect our choices, emotions and relationships during our scenes. We will manipulate the empty space and use it to our advantage while recognising the information we give to each other and the audience through our chosen position and posture on stage. We will trust our perception of space more than our words and we will create multidimensional, meaningful and fulfilling relationships based on our physicality.
What happens when instead of words, our performers let the space inspire them. They’ll move around, responding to each other’s choices and emotions, creating scenes that are dynamic and engaging. They will explore how space affects our feelings and relationships. By using the stage creatively first, our actors communicate with each other and the audience. You’ll see how simple movements and positions can convey complex emotions and tell compelling stories. Join us as we explore the power of space.
Bill Kissa is an actress from Greece won over by Improv Theater, based in Brussels, Belgium. At a very early age she realised two things about herself. She wants to have a lot of pets and the only job that can make her happy is acting. She can proudly say that she managed to do both! After graduating “Theater of Arts, Karolos Koun” (Greece), she crossed paths with improv and since then she’s been travelling the world, teaching, being taught and performing. She’s part of the European Network for improvisers “The SIN” and director of the All Female Cast Show “Huntress and Healer”. Challenging herself is one of her strongest qualities, with the last challenge being her very recent dive into the terrifying world of stand up comedy.”
